Clean Eating: Harmful Fruits & Veggies

Shedding some light on fruits and vegetables with high toxin and chemical levels. Below is a quick list of the Top 12 offenders (aka: The Dirty Dozen), in produce items with the highest level of pesticide residue. These are worth buying in an organic form! Pesticides are sprayed onto the crops, thus seeping into the soil. When watered, the pesticide-ridden soil is absorbed into the roots and passed on to the fruit it produces. In the case of potatoes, they are literally soaking in pesticides until pulled. It has made me rethink about the foods I serve around our table! Also, watch that the produce you purchase is farmed here in the USA, so you can rest assured that foods standards are being met for your safety.
