Let me start off by saying, I am not a scrapbooker. I have seen the albums of serious scrapbookers! And I mean Serious, with a capital 'S'. Unfortunately, I don't have one artistic gene in my body. Pair that up with lack of money and time, and scrapbooking was never a viable option for me. That was until now! I recently had the privilege of getting my hands on a new scrapbooking software by My Memories. I can already hear my readers mumbling, "Oh no, I am computer-challenged!" or "It's not the same as making my own pages with store-bought supplies!" Let's just say, my 8 year old son was able to create a page, using the software. Yes, it's that easy! And yes, the pages I made below printed out incredibly!
In just a few clicks I was able to quickly download the program directly to my computer. I then had an option to choose a designer template, or create one from scratch. Again, due to my lack of creativity, I chose the pre-made templates. The process was super easy, as it walked me through the steps of arranging my pages, adding and cropping photos, embellishments, text, and so much more. Basically, what would of taken hours and lots of money to do on a store-bought page, took no time at all using the software! After fishing around on the program more, I discovered I could make so much more than just an album-- calendars, export my pages, video, and music, just to name a few! With so many free templates to choose from, I was surprised that they also offered even more templates for purchase, if you were so inclined. The price ranged from $.64 for a 4 page element to $7.99 for a combo pack, which included 31 digital papers and 133 design elements. MUCH cheaper than heading to the store and buying the elements individually! Again, you don't have to buy additional templates and elements, but it is there for those who want that option. I am looking forward to making a 2012 calendar next! Perhaps a few Christmas projects as well!
