Why am I so impressed with Pampered Chef's products? First off, everything is made in the USA! The sauces are all-natural, with no preservatives, and certified as Kosher! For my review, I tried the Butterscotch Rum Dessert Sauce and the Honey Apricot Cooking Sauce! What a way to liven-up a dish! I warmed up a few spoonfuls of the dessert sauce and drizzled it over an Apple Cake that I had made. It took my common cake to a whole other level! The Dessert Sauces can be used several different ways--top cakes, pies, ice cream, dip fruit and more. As for the cooking sauce, I poured it over chicken thighs, in the crock pot, and cooked it on low for 7 hours! Delicious! Even the Cooking Sauces have endless possibilities-- stir fry, pour over warm Brie, baste meats, dip for sandwiches, and more! I recommend having a few different kinds of sauces on hand, for those times you want to add something special to your desserts or meals, in a pinch. Just remember, because there are no preservatives you will want to refrigerate your jar after use. Plus, each jar is printed with an expiration date, to guarantee freshness!

I must say, I was nervous to use the
Stoneware Pie Plate. Many years ago I had Stoneware Cookie Sheets. Everything kept sticking to it, so I sold them at a garage sale for $1 each! All of the ladies out there who use Pampered Chef are probably cringing right about now! Come to find out, I hadn't "seasoned" them properly. Let's just say, someone scored BIG at my garage sale that year. I decided this time to get instructions first, before using my new Deep Dish Pie Plate. Since we had just visited a local Apple Orchard, I decided to make a fresh Apple Pie in it. Typically, the bottom crust on my pies come out doughy and my filling rather liquidy. Not this time! The Stoneware cooked it to perfection! Both the bottom and top crust were evenly cooked to a golden brown and the filling was intact. Love, love, love this! I was instructed to brush cooking oil onto the inside of my Stoneware before cooking in it, until after several uses, it naturally turns dark. Once this happens, the Stoneware becomes non-stick. Plus, I learned that you don't wash it with soap, and you don't spray it with non-stick cooking sprays. Now I know where I failed with my cookie sheets! This is why it is important to either attend an in-home show or have an independent consultant work with you. The Stoneware won't rust like metal pans often do. At this point, my metals pans are so ratty, I may need a tetanus shot soon! LOL! Well worth the upfront cost of Stoneware baking products, plus they come with a three year warranty!
