2 whole ripe bananas, peeled
1/3 cup whole almonds
1/3 cup vanilla-flavored Greek yogurt
1 Tbs. honey
1/2 cup cooked oatmeal (*not instant from a packet)
2 cups ice
Cook your rolled oats, according to package directions. *Typically you boil 1 cup of water in a small saucepan, along with 1/8 tsp. salt. Once boiling, add 1/2 cup dry oats (not instant). Cook on medium-low heat, uncovered, for 5-10 minutes, or until most liquid is absorbed. Do not let it overcook and become too thick! Use almost immediately, as it will thicken if sitting too long.
In a blender place the ingredients in the order listed. Blend on high, until smooth, about 30 seconds. *May have to turn it off and use a spoon to break it up a couple of times, until it gets moving freely in the blender.
Tip: The texture will be smooth and drinkable, with little bits of almond throughout. Very tasty and filling though!
