Cedar Plank Grilled Salmon

The Cedar Plank gives this fish a deep smokey and sweet flavor!

Boneless Salmon fillet, skin on one side (any size)
Sea salt and ground black pepper, to taste
Fresh lemon slices
Fresh dill, stems removed and chopped
Cedar plank

Soak cedar plank in water for a minimum of 2 hours.

Preheat grill. Salt and pepper the top of the salmon; set aside.

Place cedar plank directly on grill. Once the plank starts to smoke, place your salmon on the plank. Place lemon slices on top of salmon. Close the grill lid and cook for 10 to 15 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with fork. Occasionally check to make sure the cedar plank doesn't get too dry and catch fire. Have a water spray bottle on hand, should that happen.

Remove plank and salmon from grill and sprinkle fresh dill over top. Serve immediately. With each serving, scrape the skin from the bottom of the salmon and discard. Squeeze the cooked lemon over top.

Tip: These planks are great for chicken and vegetables too!
