Parmesan Salad Bowl

Spiff up your salad, with these crispy edible bowls!

3/4 cup Shredded Parmesan cheese
Any salad mix
Any dressing

In a non-stick pan, spread all of the Parmesan cheese, into a thin 7-inch circle. Cook over medium heat, until edges turn golden brown and cheese on top begins to tighten up and set.  This will only take a few minutes. Then carefully work your spatula under the cheese to loosen it and flip it over. (You will know that it is ready to be flipped, because you will be able to work your spatula underneath it without the edges folding in.) Continue to cook until that side is golden brown as well. Be careful not to burn the cheese!

Using a spatula, carefully lift cheese from the pan and immediately transfer it to the back side of a 5-inch bowl (medium-size bowl). Using a paper towel, quickly shape the warm cheese over the bowl, by gently pressing down.

Let cheese cool 10 minutes, before removing it from the bowl. Cheese will harden and become crispy as it cools down. Fill with your favorite salad and dressing!

Makes 1 bowl

Tip: These bowls pair nicely with Caesar Salad! Simply adjust the amount of cheese for smaller or larger bowls.
