How does a Giveaway work?
When Pigs Fly offers Giveaways to our blog readers. We host Giveaways for large and small companies, Independent Consultants, and home-based craft enthusiasts. There is a flat $20 donation required for each Giveaway you host on our site. This covers the time, attention, and dedication we put into compiling, creating, promoting, and running your Giveaway for a two week duration. In return, both your business name and products will get showcased nationwide, to thousands of daily readers. More importantly, you have the opportunity to increase you customer base, and potentially your sales, through the various Social Media outlets used to host your Giveaway. When Pigs Fly will promote all kinds of products for the Giveaway, as long as they are appropriate and family-friendly. Products for--children, adults, families, home, pets, gadgets, edible and non-edible. Simply complete the above Giveaway Submission Request form to get started. The Giveaway will not be scheduled until that information has been completed and received. There is no invitation needed to request a Giveaway on When Pigs Fly. As a matter of fact, feel free to request as often as you would like!
How do I donate the $20 to host a Giveaway?
Your donation to When Pigs Fly can be made via Paypal, Cashier's Check, Money Order, or in some cases a personal check. Please make checks payable to Jennifer Van Dahm. Once your Giveaway Submission request is received, we will email payment instructions to you in your Giveaway Confirmation. Your Giveaway dates will not be secured until payment has been received and cleared.
What do I do with the winner's Giveaway item?
Do not send the winner's giveaway product to us. The winner's product will be mailed, free of charge to the winner, directly by you. Once the Giveaway has ended, and the winner has replied to us with their shipping information, it will then be forwarded to you via email. This usually happens within 4 days of the Giveaway ending. The winner must receive their product within two weeks from the date that you receive the winner's shipping information. You can choose to mail this yourself, or have the item mailed directly from your warehouse, to the winner. We request that you do not hand deliver such item(s), if the winner is local to your area. Please notify When Pigs Fly, if you expect a delay in shipment. Only the winner's name and shipping address will be provided.
Due to reader privacy, When Pigs Fly is unable to release any email addresses and/or phone numbers to those who enter the Giveaway, including the winner. In an effort to minimize unconsented solicitation with our readers, we request that all contact to the winners be made directly through When Pigs Fly.
What information does the Giveaway display?
When Pigs Fly will post a personal, concise Giveaway that will intrigue the reader right from the get-go. The Giveaway will include, but not be limited to--an overview of the product you are giving away, photos of the product, your company logo, direct hyperlinks to your website, and your contact information. When Pigs Fly will also include information about other products your company has to offer, and any sales or promotions happening at that time. How does this process benefit my business?
Thousands of daily readers nationwide will be exposed to your business name and products offered. Many of those readers then share that information with their friends, through the social media outlets used to enter the giveaway. To enter the giveaway, each reader will be exposed to details regarding your product(s) and business, then enter the Giveaway using various Social Media outlets. We adjust these entry methods in a manner that will give your business the most exposure, in an effort to grow your customer base. Some entry options may include, but not limited to:
1. "Like" your business Facebook page.
2. Answer a question related to your product(s), by visiting your business website/selling site through a direct link, and then leaving an answer in the entry.
3. Subscribe to your E-Newsletter.
4. Follow your business on Twitter.
5. Create a customized option.
Please note: Each Giveaway will also have entry options to boost the Social Media outlets used by When Pigs Fly. This enables us to connect with new readers, keeping them in the loop for future Giveaway announcements.
How are Giveaways announced and promoted?
All Giveaways will be announced using several different formats:

- The Current Giveaway Page on When Pigs Fly website
- Pinterest Page
- When Pigs Fly Google+ Page
- When Pigs Fly current email subscribers

How long does the Giveaway run?
Standard giveaways run two full weeks. They begin on a Sunday at 12:01 AM (ET) and end on a Saturday 11:59 PM (ET), unless other prior arrangements have been made. All giveaways are for residents of the United States only, 18 years or older.
How are the winners chosen?
Winner will be selected from the Rafflecopter entries, using Random.org. Winner will be notified by When Pigs Fly, via email, as well as posted to the website's Winners Wall. Drawings take place the Monday following the Giveaway end date.
The fine print...Sorry, nothing sneaky here. We tell it how it is!
When Pigs Fly makes no guarantee that you will get any sales from the Giveaway. However, our goal is to increase national awareness of your business and products offered, through the Giveaway and various Social Media outlets used. In other words, you may or may not get any sells right away, but the readers will know where to go, when a need does arise. After the Giveaway ends, When Pigs Fly is not required to promote your product any further. However, your Giveaway review will remain on the When Pigs Fly blog, under Expired Giveaways, allowing readers to come back to it for future contact information. When Pigs Fly is not exclusive, meaning that we will accept multiple Independent Consultants from the same company and will review items with similarities. However, we do make an effort to run like Giveaways a few weeks apart, to attract new readers who haven't seen the past Giveaways. The number of Giveaway entries will vary, based on overall participation. Giveaway promotions are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and/or any other web provider.
