What are When Pigs Fly Recipes? Only the best recipes around! Over 400 kid-tested, family approved, FREE recipes...to be exact! You've probably heard the saying, "Never trust a skinny cook". We beg to differ! All recipes listed have been personally made by me, prior to being posted. Let's just say, I LOVE to try new foods! Some recipes in the collection date back to my childhood, while others are just favorites borrowed from friends, cookbooks, and various websites over the years. With each recipe, the ingredients are often tweaked-- making it healthier, easier to make, or just tastier!
Striving to make meals that center around Clean-Eating values, most of my recipes will use organic ingredients, whole wheat flour, and unrefined sugars! That's not to say, that there are not some recipes where I "cheated" just a little :) Hey, some recipes just can't be substituted, no matter how hard I try! For the health conscience, I offer a specific Clean Eats recipe category, where you will find recipes that do not use ingredients that have been processed, refined, or have added preservatives. Although they are not necessarily fat-free, they do have pure ingredients.
The majority of the recipes are based around a family of four, who happens to eat more like a family of six! Plus, our meals are based on a budget, so no foo-foo dishes here, just good 'ol home-cooked meals. Remember, I am a cook, not a photographer. So please pardon my less-than-professional shots.
